The Masai Mara is one of Kenya\u2019s best-known wildlife destinations and deserves enough time to explore properly. Good planning means thinking about travel season, where you stay, how you reach the reserve and whether the Mara is part of a longer route.<\/p>\n
Three days from Nairobi is the classic short format because it gives one full day in the reserve. Longer Kenya itineraries should ideally keep two nights or more in the Mara.<\/p>\n
The ecosystem supports abundant plains game and major predators, but individual sightings depend on movement, habitat, weather and guide decisions on the day.<\/p>\n
The migration is a moving ecological cycle, and dramatic river crossings are not guaranteed on any specific day.<\/p>\n
Ask whether your camp is inside the reserve, near a gate or in a conservancy, because this affects drive times and permitted activities.<\/p>\n
