As we leave the coast behind and travel towards Tsavo East, enjoy the changing scenery and glimpse everyday life in rural Kenya. The journey takes you through small towns and traditional villages, offering an opportunity to see a different side of the country away from the beach resorts.<\/p>\n

After approximately two and a half hours, we reach the area around the Galana River<\/strong>, one of the striking natural features of Tsavo East. Here, depending on conditions and wildlife activity, you may have the opportunity to spot crocodiles along the riverbank and take photographs of the surrounding landscape.<\/p>\n

Entering Tsavo East National Park<\/h3>\n

At approximately 9:30 AM<\/strong>, we enter Tsavo East National Park and begin our first game drive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Tsavo East is renowned for its vast wilderness, dramatic red-earth landscapes and diverse wildlife. Keep your camera ready as we explore the savannah in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, lions and other animals that inhabit the park.<\/p>\n

Our experienced safari guide will help you identify wildlife and share information about the animals, their behaviour and the ecosystem that supports them.<\/p>\n

Lunch and Relaxation<\/h3>\n

Around midday, we head to your selected lodge or tented camp for lunch and some time to relax<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Many accommodation options in and around Tsavo East are located close to water sources or wildlife-viewing areas. This means you may continue watching animals even while enjoying some downtime at your accommodation.<\/p>\n

Afternoon Game Drive<\/h3>\n

In the afternoon, we head back into the park for another game drive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The changing light creates excellent conditions for photography as the afternoon progresses. We explore different areas of the park, looking for wildlife and enjoying the spectacular Tsavo landscape.<\/p>\n

The game drive continues towards sunset before we return to the lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight accommodation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Day 2: Sunrise Game Drive and Return Journey<\/h1>\n

Your second day begins early, as we set out for a sunrise game drive in Tsavo East<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The early morning is one of the best times to explore the African bush. Temperatures are cooler, and many animals are active before the heat of the day. With some luck, you may see predators returning from a night’s hunt, elephants moving through the savannah or herds of grazing animals beginning their morning.<\/p>\n

After the morning game drive, we return towards the park exit.<\/p>\n

Leaving Tsavo East<\/h3>\n

At approximately 9:30 AM<\/strong>, we leave the national park and begin the journey back to your resort or apartment.<\/p>\n

The park entry ticket is valid for 24 hours, allowing you to make the most of your safari experience within the permitted period.<\/p>\n

During the return journey, we can make suitable stops in local villages and communities along the route, giving you an opportunity to see more of rural Kenya and, where appropriate, purchase locally made souvenirs.<\/p>\n

We expect to arrive back at your resort or apartment at approximately 1:00 PM<\/strong>, around lunchtime.<\/p>\n
