Discover four of Kenya’s remarkable safari destinations on a six-day journey from Nairobi to the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli and Taita Hills.

The safari combines spectacular wildlife encounters, the landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and Amboseli, magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro, and an exciting night safari in Taita Hills accompanied by a ranger.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara

Depart in the morning from Nairobi and travel towards the famous Masai Mara National Reserve.

During July, August and September, you may witness the spectacular migration from the Serengeti into the Masai Mara. In December and January, the migration takes place in the opposite direction. These are therefore among the best months to experience the wildlife spectacle.

You may see hundreds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles and antelopes searching for food and crossing rivers, while crocodiles and big cats hunt and hyenas and vultures wait for the remains left behind. It is an unforgettable natural spectacle.

Continue to Narok, a welcoming provincial town and the main gateway to the Masai Mara, where you will stop for lunch.

After lunch, continue to the Masai Mara and enjoy your first game drive until sunset.

Return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 2: Full-Day Masai Mara Safari

Depart at 6:30 AM after breakfast for a full day of game viewing in the Masai Mara.

Enjoy an extensive game drive through the reserve, with a stop for a packed lunch in the middle of the savannah.

Continue your safari throughout the afternoon before returning after sunset to your lodge or tented camp.

Dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru

Depart at 6:30 AM after breakfast and travel towards Lake Nakuru.

Arrive at approximately 12:00 PM and proceed directly to your lodge for lunch and some time to relax.

At 3:30 PM, head out for an afternoon game drive around Lake Nakuru, famous for its large population of rhinos and countless pink flamingos.

Continue exploring the area until approximately 6:30 PM, after sunset return to the lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 4: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli

Depart at 6:30 AM after breakfast and travel towards Amboseli National Park.

Amboseli is renowned for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, which provides a dramatic backdrop to the savannah and wildlife.

Arrive at your lodge or tented camp at approximately 1:00 PM for lunch and relaxation.

At 3:30 PM, set out for an afternoon game drive through Amboseli, continuing until sunset.

Return to the lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 5: Amboseli – Taita Hills

Depart at 6:30 AM after breakfast for your final morning game drive in Amboseli.

Continue exploring the park until approximately 8:30 AM, then leave Amboseli and travel towards Taita Hills, where you will have the opportunity to experience an exciting night safari accompanied by a ranger.

A night safari offers a completely different perspective of the African bush. You may witness nocturnal hunting activity and encounter animals that prefer to become active and move through the savannah after sunset.

Arrive at the Taita Hills reserve at approximately 11:30 AM and begin your game drive.

At 1:00 PM, arrive at your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Accommodation is at a lodge built on stilts, offering a unique setting within the reserve.

At 4:00 PM, head out for another game drive, continuing until sunset.

Return to the lodge for dinner.

At 7:00 PM, the night safari begins, accompanied by a ranger. Explore Taita Hills after dark and look out for wildlife becoming active in the night.

At approximately 9:00 PM, return to the lodge for overnight accommodation.

DAY 6: Taita Hills – Voi – Watamu / Malindi / Mombasa

Depart at 6:30 AM for another morning game drive in Taita Hills.

Continue your safari until approximately 10:30 AM, then leave Taita Hills and travel towards Voi, where you will stop for lunch.

After lunch, continue your journey towards Watamu, Malindi or Mombasa, with arrival expected at approximately 5:00 PM.

This marks the end of your safari.
