Responsible Travel

A memorable safari should respect wildlife, local communities, guides, staff and the landscapes that make travel possible.

Wildlife Comes First

Guests should follow guide instructions, remain on authorised routes, avoid feeding or disturbing wildlife and keep noise low around animals. Sightings should never be pursued in a way that compromises safety or park rules.

Respect for Communities

Cultural visits should be arranged transparently and respectfully. Photography of people should be based on permission, and community experiences should not be treated as staged props for visitors.

Reduce Waste

Carry a refillable bottle where practical, avoid unnecessary single-use items and take personal waste back to appropriate disposal points. Lodges and camps may have different water and waste systems, so follow their guidance.

Support Local Value

Using local guides, drivers, accommodation teams and legitimate community experiences helps retain more tourism value within Kenya.
