From the wildlife-rich plains of the Masai Mara to the beautiful landscapes of Lake Nakuru and the spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro in Amboseli, this safari offers an unforgettable journey through some of Kenya’s most remarkable natural environments.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara

Departure in the morning from Nairobi, heading towards the famous Masai Mara National Reserve.

The Masai Mara is world-renowned for its exceptional wildlife and the annual Great Migration. During July, August and September, huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles and antelopes move from the Serengeti into the Masai Mara in search of fresh grazing and water.

During December and January, the migration follows the opposite route.

These periods can offer extraordinary wildlife encounters, including large herds crossing rivers, crocodiles waiting in the water, predators hunting on the plains, and hyenas and vultures gathering around the remains of animals.

We stop in Narok, an important town and one of the main gateways to the Masai Mara, for lunch.

After lunch, we continue towards the reserve.

Upon arrival, we begin our first game drive, exploring the Masai Mara until sunset.

After the game drive, we return to the lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 2: Full-Day Masai Mara Safari

After breakfast, departure at approximately 6:30 AM for a full day of wildlife exploration.

Spend the day on game drives across the Masai Mara, searching for its abundant wildlife and enjoying the spectacular savannah landscapes.

At lunchtime, we stop in the middle of the reserve for a packed lunch, allowing you to remain out in the wilderness rather than returning to the lodge.

After lunch and a short break, we continue with the game drive, exploring different areas of the reserve until sunset.

After sunset, we return to the lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 3: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, departure at approximately 6:30 AM towards Lake Nakuru.

We travel through the Kenyan countryside before arriving at the lodge at approximately 12:00 PM.

Enjoy lunch and some time to relax before heading out for the afternoon safari.

Lake Nakuru Game Drive

At approximately 3:30 PM, we set off for a game drive around Lake Nakuru National Park.

Lake Nakuru is well known for its wildlife, particularly its rhinos, as well as the spectacular birdlife found around the lake. Depending on the season and conditions, you may also see large numbers of pink flamingos along the shoreline.

Continue exploring the park until approximately 6:30 PM, around sunset.

We then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 4: Lake Nakuru to Amboseli

After breakfast, departure at approximately 6:30 AM towards Amboseli National Park.

Amboseli is famous for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, which provides a dramatic backdrop to the park’s open savannah.

We arrive directly at the selected lodge or tented camp at approximately 1:00 PM for lunch and relaxation.

Afternoon Amboseli Game Drive

At approximately 3:30 PM, we set off for an afternoon game drive.

Explore the plains of Amboseli, searching for wildlife while enjoying the magnificent scenery and, weather permitting, views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

The game drive continues until sunset.

We then return to the lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 5: Amboseli and Return Journey

After breakfast, departure at approximately 6:30 AM for your final game drive in Amboseli.

Continue exploring the park until approximately 8:30 AM, taking advantage of the cooler morning hours for wildlife viewing.

We then leave Amboseli and begin the journey towards Lion Hill or Impala Lodge, where we stop for lunch.

After lunch, we continue our journey back towards the coast.

We expect to arrive at your hotel in Watamu, Malindi or Mombasa at approximately 5:00 PM.
