Tsavo East is the most practical major safari destination from Watamu and works especially well as a day trip, two-day overnight safari or slower three-day wildlife experience. Taita Hills, Ngutuni, Tsavo West and Amboseli can be added for longer routes.
Pickup is normally arranged from your confirmed hotel, resort, villa or apartment. Exact departure time depends on the route, park gate, season and accommodation. Malindi pickups can usually follow a similar programme; Mombasa pickups may require adjusted timings.
If your holiday ends in Nairobi, consider a coast-to-Nairobi safari via Tsavo East and Amboseli. The reverse route is equally useful for travellers arriving in Nairobi before continuing to Watamu.
