In addition to Taita Hills, Ngutuni Game Reserve is one of the wildlife destinations in Kenya where you can enjoy the special experience of a night safari.

This 3-day itinerary combines the wildlife of Ngutuni with the vast wilderness of Tsavo East National Park, giving you the opportunity to experience game drives during the day and after sunset.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: Ngutuni Game Reserve

Departure from your resort or apartment at approximately 5:30 AM, heading towards Ngutuni along the scenic Kaloleni road, an area associated with the filming of the famous movie Out of Africa.

Enjoy beautiful views of the Kenyan countryside along the way, including coconut palms, banana plantations and acacia trees.

We expect to arrive at Ngutuni Game Reserve at approximately 9:30 AM, where your first game drive begins.

Morning Game Drive

Explore the reserve until approximately 12:30 PM, searching for wildlife and enjoying the natural surroundings.

After the morning game drive, we head to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

Afternoon Game Drive

At approximately 4:00 PM, we set off for another game drive through the reserve.

Continue exploring Ngutuni as the afternoon progresses, with the drive continuing until sunset.

We then return to the lodge for dinner.

Ngutuni Night Safari

At approximately 7:00 PM, we head out for an exciting night safari.

After dark, the reserve takes on a completely different atmosphere. Many animals become active at night, offering the opportunity to observe nocturnal wildlife and experience the African bush from a different perspective.

The night safari continues until approximately 9:00 PM, after which we return to the lodge for the night.

DAY 2: Ngutuni to Tsavo East

After breakfast, we depart at approximately 7:00 AM for another morning game drive in Ngutuni.

The game drive continues until approximately 9:30 AM.

We then leave Ngutuni and continue towards Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest national parks, covering approximately 13,747 square kilometres.

At approximately 9:50 AM, we begin our first game drive in Tsavo East.

Morning Game Drive and Lunch

Explore the park until approximately 1:00 PM, searching for wildlife and taking in the spectacular Tsavo landscape.

We then proceed to your selected lodge or tented camp for lunch and relaxation.

Both accommodation options are located close to a waterhole, where animals regularly come to drink, creating excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing.

Afternoon Game Drive

At approximately 4:00 PM, we head out for another game drive.

Explore Tsavo East until sunset, enjoying the changing landscapes and looking for wildlife as the afternoon cools.

After sunset, we return to the lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 3: Final Tsavo East Game Drive and Return

At approximately 6:30 AM, we depart for another early morning game drive in Tsavo East.

The early morning is an excellent time for wildlife viewing, as many animals are more active around sunrise and the cooler temperatures make game viewing particularly enjoyable.

At approximately 9:50 AM, we leave Tsavo East and begin the journey back towards your resort or apartment.

We expect to arrive at approximately 1:00 PM, around lunchtime.

During the return journey, there may be opportunities to stop at local villages along the route and experience more of the Kenyan countryside.

Your 3-Day Ngutuni and Tsavo East Safari ends with unforgettable memories of two remarkable wildlife destinations and an exciting night safari experience.
