ITINERARY

DAY 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara

Depart in the morning from Nairobi Airport or your hotel and travel towards the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve.

Around lunchtime, stop in Narok, the main gateway to the Masai Mara, for lunch before continuing towards the reserve.

Arrive in the Masai Mara and begin your first game drive, exploring the savannah and looking out for the reserve’s abundant wildlife.

Continue your safari until sunset before returning to your lodge or tented camp.

Dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 2: Full-Day Masai Mara Safari

Depart at 6:30 AM after breakfast for a full day of safari in the Masai Mara.

Spend the day exploring different areas of the reserve in search of wildlife. Depending on the season and where the animals are located, you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelopes, buffalo and big cats.

A packed lunch box will be provided so that you can enjoy lunch out in the savannah and make the most of your time inside the reserve.

Continue your game drive throughout the afternoon and return to your lodge or tented camp after sunset.

Dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru

Depart at 6:30 AM after breakfast and begin the journey towards Lake Nakuru.

Arrive at approximately 12:00 PM and proceed to your lodge for lunch and some time to relax.

At 3:30 PM, head out for an afternoon game drive around Lake Nakuru.

The park is particularly known for its rhinos and large numbers of flamingos, while the surrounding landscapes provide opportunities to see a variety of other wildlife.

Continue your safari until sunset, then return to the lodge.

Dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 4: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli

Depart at 6:30 AM and leave Lake Nakuru behind as you travel towards Amboseli National Park.

The journey takes you towards one of Kenya’s most iconic safari landscapes, where Mount Kilimanjaro provides a spectacular backdrop to the plains.

Arrive at your lodge or tented camp at approximately 1:00 PM for lunch and relaxation.

At 3:30 PM, head out for your first afternoon game drive in Amboseli.

Explore the park until sunset, with opportunities to encounter its famous elephants and other wildlife against the dramatic Kilimanjaro landscape.

Return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 5: Full-Day Amboseli Safari

Today is dedicated entirely to Amboseli National Park, giving you more time to experience the park without having to pack up and travel to another destination.

After breakfast, set out for an early morning game drive, when wildlife is often active and the cooler conditions make for an enjoyable safari.

Explore the park’s different landscapes and wildlife areas before returning to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

In the afternoon, head out again for another game drive, continuing until sunset.

With a second night in Amboseli, you have more time to enjoy the scenery, look for wildlife and appreciate the changing views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Return to the lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 6: Amboseli – Tsavo West

Depart at 6:30 AM after breakfast for a final morning game drive in Amboseli.

Continue your safari until approximately 8:30 AM, then leave Amboseli and travel towards Tsavo West National Park.

Arrive in Tsavo West and continue with a game drive through this diverse wilderness, characterised by rugged landscapes, mountains, lakes and natural springs.

Depending on the day’s route, there may be an opportunity to visit Mzima Springs, a natural water source known for its hippos, crocodiles and aquatic life.

Continue towards your lodge for lunch and relaxation.

At 4:00 PM, head out for an afternoon game drive until sunset.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 7: Tsavo West – Tsavo East

Depart at 6:30 AM after breakfast for an early morning game drive in Tsavo West.

Continue exploring the park until approximately 10:30 AM, then leave Tsavo West and travel towards Tsavo East National Park.

Arrive in Tsavo East and begin your game drive, continuing until approximately 1:00 PM.

Proceed to your lodge or tented camp for lunch and relaxation.

The accommodation is located near a waterhole where animals come to drink, providing an opportunity to observe wildlife close to the lodge.

At 4:00 PM, head out for an afternoon game drive through Tsavo East and continue until sunset.

Return to the lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 8: Tsavo East – Watamu / Malindi / Mombasa

Depart at 6:30 AM after breakfast for your final morning game drive.

Enjoy one last opportunity to explore Tsavo East and search for wildlife before leaving the park at approximately 10:00 AM.

Continue towards Watamu, Malindi or Mombasa, with arrival expected around lunchtime.

Your 8-day Kenya safari comes to an end as you arrive at your chosen coastal destination.
